About me

Hi there, I'm Thomas! I'm into all kinds of nerdy things. Physics, AI, space travel, music, graphics, electronics, etc.

I am also principal research scientist at NVIDIA.

I have a PhD from ETH Zürich & Disney Research where I integrated some of my research into Disney's Hyperion renderer. I also created notable open source projects, like the award winning neural graphics tool instant-ngp, the high-speed machine learning framework tiny-cuda-nn, and the image viewer tev. In my free time, I enjoy working on a variety of pet projects and, in a past life, I was involved in developing the online rhythm game osu!.
